When the material thickness is greater than 13mm, a Barcol hardness tester can be used instead. The pure aluminum plate or low hardness aluminum alloy plate shall be used with a Barcol hardness tester. 2. Hardness Testing of Stamping Die The main material of stamping die is die steel (including tool steel and high-speed steel), sometimes hard alloy is also used. Stamping die usually requires high hardness and wear resistance, and heat treatment is essential.
