What does a jig usually consist of?

(1) Positioning element Positioning element is used to determine the correct position of the workpiece. The positioning base surface of the workpiece to be machined directly contacts or matches with the fixture positioning element. (2) Clamping device Clamping device is a device that enables the workpiece to maintain its correct positioning position under the action of external force. (3) Tool setting element, guide element tool setting element and guide element refer to the elements in the fixture used to determine (or guide) that the tool has the correct position relationship with the fixture positioning element, such as drill sleeve, boring sleeve, tool setting block, etc. (4) Connecting element Fixture connecting element refers to the element used to determine that the fixture has the correct position on the machine tool and is connected with it, such as the positioning key installed on the bottom surface of the fixture of the milling machine. (5) According to the processing requirements of other components and devices, some fixtures need to be equipped with indexing and indexing devices, profiling devices, workpiece lifting devices, auxiliary supports and other devices. (6) The specific clamp is a basic part used to connect the clamp elements and related devices into a whole, and the clamp is specifically connected with the machine tool through the clamp. Positioning element, clamping device and clamp are the basic components of the clamp, and other parts can be set as required.

What is the classification of fixtures

The fixture types can be divided into: ① Universal universal fixture. For example, machine vises, chucks, suction cups, dividing heads and rotary workbenches are very versatile and can better adapt to the transformation of processing procedures and processing objects. Their structures have been finalized, and their dimensions and specifications have been serialized. Most of them have become a standard accessory of machine tools. ② Special fixture. It is specially designed and manufactured for the clamping needs of certain product parts in a certain process. The service object is specific and highly targeted. Generally, it is designed by the product manufacturer itself. Commonly used are lathe jigs, milling machine jigs, jigs (machine tool jigs for guiding the cutter to drill or ream holes on the workpiece), boring dies (machine tool jigs for guiding the boring cutter bar to bore holes on the workpiece) and traveling jigs (mobile jigs for automatic lines of modular machine tools). ③ Adjustable clamp. A special fixture for replacing or adjusting elements. ④ Modular fixture. The fixture consists of standardized components with different shapes, specifications and uses, which is suitable for trial production of new products, single piece, small batch production and temporary tasks where products are often replaced. In addition to vises, chucks, indexing heads and rotary worktables, there is a more common tool handle. Generally speaking, when the word tool clamp appears at the same time, most of the clamps refer to the tool handle.

Materials and moulds

Rockwell hardness tester is used for hardness testing of metal stamping parts. Small stamping parts with complex shapes can be used to test the small plane, which cannot be tested on the ordinary bench type Rockwell hardness tester. PHP series portable surface Rockwell hardness tester is very suitable for testing the hardness of these stampings. Alloy stamping parts are commonly used in the fields of metal processing and mechanical manufacturing. Stamping parts processing is a processing method that uses the die to separate or shape the metal strip. Its application scope is very broad. Stamping processing includes blanking, bending, drawing, forming, finishing and other processes. The materials for stamping parts processing are mainly hot rolled or cold rolled (mainly cold rolled) metal sheet and strip materials, such as carbon steel plate, alloy steel plate, spring steel plate, galvanized plate, tinned plate, stainless steel plate, copper and copper alloy plate, aluminum and aluminum alloy plate, etc. 1. Hardness test of stamping materials The main purpose of hardness testing of stamping materials is to determine whether the annealing degree of purchased metal sheets is suitable for subsequent stamping processing. Different types of stamping processing processes require different hardness levels of sheets. The aluminum alloy plates used for stamping can be tested with a Vickers hardness tester. When the material thickness is greater than 13mm, a Barcol hardness tester can be used instead. The pure aluminum plate or low hardness aluminum alloy plate shall be used with a Barcol hardness tester. 2. Hardness Testing of Stamping Die The main material of stamping die is die steel (including tool steel and high-speed steel), sometimes hard alloy is also used. Stamping die usually requires high hardness and wear resistance, and heat treatment is essential.
